These resources demonstrate field dressing a moose. Elder Steven Auger explains the process of skinning, preparing, and preserving meat, as well a how to show respect to the moose. Learners review uses for the different parts of a moose and recall Protocols for moose hunting.

In these resources, learners hear about two methods of preparing moose hide as shared by Elder Florence Nanooch and Knowledge Keeper Rena Tallcree. Learners make notes on each step in the process, then create a miniature moose hide frame.
