Syllabics: ᒐ ᒉ ᒋ ᒍ

These resources help students learn and practice the ᒐ ᒉ ᒋ ᒍ (tch) syllabics. A video demonstrates the shape and sound of each syllabic on its own and in words such as ᒥᒉ mitche (eat) and ᒋᐸᐩ tchipay (spirit). Then, students complete activities and games to practice saying, reading, and printing the ᒐ ᒉ ᒋ ᒍ syllabics. A highlight of these resources is an illustrated storytelling video in which the character ᒋᒋ tchitchi (Brother) gets ready to go hunting using many words with ᒐ ᒉ ᒋ ᒍ syllabics. A teacher guide is included.
